Alyx's Apple Berry Crumble

The first addition to the Humblebee Cookbook is Alyx's Apple Berry Crumble. Very easy to make, incredibly delicious and moderately healthy. My grandmother stands by the fact that a little butter is good for the soul, so I salute this dessert! If you give a try, please post your final product pictures and your thoughts to the Humblebee facebook page (and I will forward to Alyx!). Bon appétit.

Ingredients
4 apples, cored, peeled, and cut into bite-sized pieces (I used golden delicious)
1/2 small container of raspberries
2-3 handfuls of dried cranberries
1/2 lemon of juice
1/4 cup melted butter
2 1/2 cups of granola (any kind, I used honey almond)
small handful of organic sugar
generous sprinkles of cinnamon
sprinkle of corn starch

Preheat oven to 350˚. Combine all ingredients in a mixing bowl -- do not be afraid to squish the raspberries. Evenly spread the mixture into a glass loaf pan and sprinkle a bit more sugar and cinnamon on top. Place in oven for 30-35(ish)  minutes or until apples are only the slightest hint soft. Serve warm with vanilla bean ice cream, and the leftovers served cold the next morning for breakfast

Serves 6 dessert portions

Thanks again Alyx! A wonderful addition to the Humblebee Cookbook. Submissions will be taken until the end of May. To submit, please write to buzz@thehumblebeehive.com with ingredients, prep directions, serving size, and plating info. Recipes using fresh, organic ingredients and healthy alternatives will be favored. I look forward to trying more of your delicious recipes!
